Donations and Sponsorships

Cape Breton Beverages is proud to support initiatives that strengthen our communities. Because we receive a high volume of requests, we use a structured application and review process to ensure fairness, consistency, and the greatest community impact.

How to Request Support:

  • Submit your request using our online application form.
  • Applications must be submitted at least 60 days before your event or initiative.
  • Please allow up to 45 days for a response.
  • Submitting more than one application, or following up by phone, email, or social media will not move your request ahead.
  • If your application aligns with our priorities, our team will contact you. We may request additional information at that time.

Our Community Focus Areas

Cape Breton Beverages prioritizes support for initiatives that create broad, inclusive community impact and align with one or more of the following focus areas:

1. Community Health and Well-Being
Initiatives that support physical health, mental health, or access to care at a community level.

2. Inclusive Sport and Recreation
Programs that remove barriers to participation and increase access to sport or recreation for the broader community. Priority is given to initiatives serving youth, women, seniors, and underserved or underrepresented groups.

3. Arts, Culture and Music that Bring People Together
Festivals, performances, and cultural initiatives that are open to the public and create shared community experiences.

4. Community Connection and Inclusion
Events and programs designed to bring people together in a welcoming, inclusive way, strengthening community connection and belonging.

Priority is given to initiatives with clear community reach, demonstrated need, and strong alignment with Cape Breton Beverages’ values.


Funding Guidelines and Eligibility

To ensure fairness and manage volume, Cape Breton Beverages:

  • Typically considers one request per organization per calendar year
  • Supports organizations and community groups, not individuals
  • Focuses on initiatives with inclusive, community-wide benefit

We generally do not support:

  • Individual athletes or individuals fundraising to participate on sports teams
  • Personal causes or individual sponsorships
  • Requests submitted outside the required timelines
  • Political or religious organizations
  • Initiatives that are not inclusive or community-based

While we strive to support many worthy initiatives, we may decline requests due to budget limits, existing commitments, or because we have already supported similar causes in the same period.


Additional Consideration

Some applications may not fit our donation guidelines but could be considered for marketing or business development investment. Where appropriate, we may forward these applications internally for review.
